Ingredients

  • yams
  • ground nuts
  • salt
  • water
  • greenpaper
  • onions
  • cooking oil
  • tomatoes
  • cotmeal
  • ginger
  • garlic

STEPS TO FOLLOW – Our Local Method.

  • place a clean saucepan on a lit charcoal stove
  • put cooking oil into the saucepan
  • put your chopped onions into the saucepan
  • add your already diced green paper into your suacepan and stir
  • add your chopped tomatoes to the saucepan and stir
  • add salt to the saucepan and stir untill all your ingredients are ready
  • add your groundnuts to the saucepan and stir evenly
  • add hot water to your ground nuts in the saucapan and stir
  • keep adding hot water as you stir untill all the (particles) of the ground nuts are dissolved
  • peel your yams as you place them in a saucepan with clean water
  • wash your yams
  • place them in a clean saucepan and add water to the saucepan
  • place the saucepan on an already lit stove and cook the yams for about 4 minutes
  • drain away the water from the yams
  • place back the yams on the stove
  • put your already cooked ground nuts into the saucepan with yams and leave it to boil for about 2 minutes
  • open the saucepan and add your garlic, cotmeal and ginger paste and gently stir
  • cover the saucepan again and cook till food is ready and then serve
