  • offals
  • onions
  • matooke
  • green paper
  • tomatoes
  • carrots
  • garden egg
  • garlic paste
  • coatmeal paste
  • african spices
  • curry powder

Steps to Follow – our Local method.

  • light a charcoal stove
  • cut he offals into sizeable pieces
  • wash them thoroughly
  • put them in a clean saucepan
  • add water and boil
  • add some onions as it boils
  • when the water is through
  • ad some more and stir to avoid burning
  • peel the matoke as it boils
  • when the added water is through,
  • add onions as you stir
  • add green paper
  • add tomatoes
  • add carrots and cover to boil
  • put the peeled matoke in a clean saucepan
  • add the garden eggs as well
  • add water
  • cover with a fresh banana leaf
  • boil for 30 minutes
  • then add some water to the offals
  • add garlic paste
  • add coatmeal paste
  • add the african spices and stir
  • add water and let boil
  • add curry powder and stir
  • when the matooke is ready:
  • add the offals to make stew
  • boil for 10 minutes
  • when its ready
  • serve and enjoy
