Ingredients

  • Ground nuts
  • Dry mushrooms
  • Salt
  • Water
  • Onions

Steps to Follow – our Local method.

  • Sort your dry mushrooms as you place them on a clean tray
  • put them in a clean saucepan
  • place the saucepan on a lit charcoal stove
  • stir your mushrooms for about 1 minute then remove from the the charcoal stove
  • put them in a mortar and get your pestle and start pounding till they are well smashed
  • put the smashed mushrooms in a clean saucepan
  • get your groundnuts and place them in a clean saucepan
  • try pounding your groundnuts using a mingling stick
  • add salt to the groundnuts
  • evenly stir as you pound
  • add little hot water to your groundnuts and stir
  • place your saucepan on a lit charcoal stove and add some hot water and stir trying to remove all the un fine partials
  • leave it to boil for about 1minute and then stir
  • add some hot water again and stir
  • add your chopped onions to the sauce and stir ,leave it boil for about a minute
  • remove the saucepan from the stove and remove the fire
  • add some ash to the charcoal stove
  • place back the saucepan and cover the sauce for about a minute and cover again
  • leave it to boil for about 15 -20 minutes
  • add hot water to your smashed mushrooms and stir
  • add your mushrooms to the sauce and evenly stir
  • leave the sauce to boil till its ready
  • when ready remove from the stove and then serve
