Steps to Follow – our Local method.
- Roast the your chopped pieces of chicken untill they become golden brown.
- Place your pieces of chicken in a clean saucepan.
- Add water to the chicken till its all fully immersed in water.
- Place the saucepan containing chicken on an already lit charcoal stove
- Boil the chicken till its ready and then remove it from the charcoal stove
- Get another clean saucepan and place it on a charcoal stove
- Add chopped tomatoes to the saucepan
- Add salt to the tomatoes and leave it for about a minute to boil
- Put your already peeled irish potatoes to the saucepan with chicken and stir inorder to immerse the Potatoes in the soup
- Stir the boiling tomatoes for about a minute
- Add curry powder to the tomatoes and evenly stir
- Add ginger, garlic and cotmeal paste to the tomatoes and stir
- Add chopped carrots, greenpaper and onions to the mixture and stir evenly
- Add african spices to the mixture and stir
- Add 1/2 cup of water to the mixture and stir
- Add your dissolved royco to the mixture and stir
- Add chopped spring onions to the chicken
- Place back the saucepan containing chicken on a charcoal stove
- Bit by bit add your boiled ingredients to the chicken and stir
- Then cover and leave it to boil for about 3 minutes
- Open and check whether the chicken has reached your desired taste
- If not re-cover and again boil for about two minutes and chicken is ready to serve
