- cassava
- salt
- cooking oil
- water
- spring onions
- onions
- cassava flour
- royco
- curry powder
Steps to Follow – our Local method.
- Cut your peeled cassava into pieces
- wash your pieces of cassava
- prepare a clean saucepan
- add some cut banana leaves down and water
- then put another banana leaf on top
- add your washed pieces of cassava to your banana leaf
- add salt to your cassava
- add your already washed spring onions to the cassava
- add your chopped onions to the cassava
- carefully fold the banana leaf and cover with other banana leafs
- place your saucepan on a lit charcoal stove and cook till cassava is ready for about 15 minutes
- remove the saucepan from the charcoal stove and remove the cassava
- place the cassava on a clean tray
- place a frying pan on a lit charcoal stove
- add cooking oil to the frying pan
- get a clean bowl
- add some cassava flour to the bowl
- add curry powder to the bowl
- add royco to the the bowl
- add your hot water to the bowl as stir bit by bit till all cassava flour ,royco,and curry powder dissolves
- add some pieces of cassava to your bowl with the mixture and stir well to evenly distrube the mixture to all your pieces of cassava
- remove pieces of cassava from the bowl as you put them on (jjalo)
- put your selected pieces of cassava into the pan with cooking oil
- turn your pieces of cassava in the pan to the other side
- when they are remove them
- keep doing the same to all your pieces of cassava till they are all well fried
- when all ready then serve
